The TEKMUJEM.SI website

TEKMUJEM.SI is a joint project of two educational organisations, DMFA and ZOTKS, both of which are important organisers of competitions and training for talented young people. The aim of the project is to provide a national portal with a comprehensive overview of all competitions for primary, secondary schools and colleges and to provide basic information about them in a transparent way: dates, locations and links to preparation materials. The wider aim of the project is to encourage young talented pupils and their mentors to participate in competitions.

The competitions are presented in the form of cards with key information for the target group – the competitors. News, statistics and answers to frequently asked questions are also available on separate tabs for them and for the other two target groups – mentors and parents.

The main advantage of the project is that all competitions are presented in one place and in one way, and that access to additional information and preparation materials is also unified. This solves the problem of the disparate – some of them very outdated – websites of Slovenian competition organisers.

The design is modern and simple and, like the wire model, has been tested on the main target group. Again, the deviation from the approach of individual organisers is deliberate. For fun – competitions are, after all, education outside school hours! – we have added an extra functionality: if you make an electrical circuit, you can light up the screen and choose the colour of the inscriptions.
